Alumnae...

Camper spirit never dies! By registering as a member of the Camp Carysbrook Alumnae Association (CCAA), you can keep up to date with the happenings at camp, keep in touch with old friends and find out about reunions and other events. Membership also entitles you to a e-subscription to a new quarterly Alumnae Newsletter and discounts on Alumnae events.

Your membership dues will be used to fund capital improvements within camp. CCAA members will have input on where the money is spent although the CCAA board will have the final vote on capital improvement spending. The CCAA will track, account for and appropriate all membership funds and capital improvement donations.

Alumnae are an integral part of maintaining the traditions of Carysbrook and many of you have inquired about ways to give back although you have left camp days behind. Please see the "Donate to Carysbrook" page if you would like to make a monetary donation to either capital improvements or camper scholarships. The Scholarship Chair together with the CCAA Board is responsible for raising and appropriating tax-deductible funds through the American Camping Association to offer scholarships to campers in need and facilitate sending such campers to Carysbrook. The CCAA is responsible for establishing the benchmarks of these scholarships and selecting recipients.

There are also many opportunites for you to volunteer teaching a skill or workshop during the summer. Please contact the Director if you would like to donate your time or talents.

Click on the "Alumnae" button to register as a member and reconnect with old friends and share the magic and the memories of summers spent at Carysbrook.

There is still no place in the world more magical or sacred to me than Camp Carysbrook. I feel blessed for the lifelong friendships I made there and all of the unique opportunities I had to learn new skills and challenge myself in a safe, loving, and accepting environment. I owe much of my sense of self-confidence to camp and am so thankful that I’m able to stay connected and give back now through the Board.

Camp is quite simply my favorite place on Earth. It's where I grew up and learned to me and made my best friends. Carysbrook is my personal giving tree, always there and always generous, so I couldn't be happier to give back to camp through the new alumnae board. I am thrilled to be part of the effort to preserve the camp that we all cherish and to expand access to camp so that more girls can have a summer to remember.

I am involved in the alumnae board because I think it is so important to stay connected and give back to camp. The alumnae board gives us a chance to stay in touch, and reconnect, with campers and staff who shared the same amazing experience at Carysbrook as I did. Those summers, especially because of the great people, shaped the woman I am today. I want to be able to give back to Carysbrook in any way possible and keep the traditions going for many generations of girls to come!

"Are you listening

Carysbrook's calling you,

from a day gone by...

You are part of all her yesterdays,

hold your head up high...

Building her tomorrows

on the spirit of her past,

Are you listening

Carysbrook's calling you,

Answer and her spirit will last."
